Top Purchases of 2020

Every year, I share my top purchases from the previous year. Even though there were many highs and lows from this year, I was ultimately introduced to some of my favorite beauty, fashion and lifestyle products.

Number One: Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer

My number one purchase for 2020 was the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer. There is a reason you’ve heard so much hype about this hair dryer because it really is a game changer. I have thick, curly hair that in years past I would have to blow dry, flat iron and then curl to get rid of frizz and have what resembled good looking hair. Not only was this super damaging for my hair, even with my favorite heat protecting spray, but all of these products were also a total pain to pack when I traveled. The Revlon one-step quite literally is a blowdryer, flat iron and curling iron all in one. It now takes me 10 minutes to go from wet to straight hair, whereas before it would take me 30-45. Huge game changer for those on the go!

NUMBER TWO: Roku streaming stick

When Matthew and I first moved in to our new apartment, it seemed overkill to pay for cable. After all, we have all of the major streaming services thanks to our parents who allow us to mooch (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, YoutubeTV, and Prime Video). Plus, with my parents TV provider login, we can access live TV and shows through the NBC, ABC, etc. apps you can download onto the Roku. Matthew and I are the proud owners of two Roku Streaming Sticks. We have two TVs in our apartment, one in the living room and a tiny Toshiba one my mom found at Goodwill in our bedroom. The streaming stick is honestly a game changer.

Number Three: Diamond Dazzle Stick

This affordable jewelry cleaner from Amazon is THE BEST for keeping my engagement ring shiny and clean. My mom first introduced me to these sticks about a few years ago, and I used it to clean the center stone of my David Yurman Petite Albion ring. Now that Matthew and I are engaged, I’ve gotten a lot more use out of the sticks because they seriously make your engagement ring look brand new again.

Number Four: AirPods

I went back and forth on purchasing AirPods for over a year. It seemed so excessive to spend $100+ on a pair of headphones, but man they have been one of the best investments of 2020! I can take calls while multitasking, workout without a stupid cord getting in the way, and cook while listening to podcasts.
